Tube Information for Shakespeare Ribs

All our RIB collars are constructed using Hypalon coated fabric. The fabric is available in a wide selection of colours, examples of which can be seen below. All our RIB collars are constructed using Hypalon coated fabric.

The basic fabric is made up of two different weights:
1200 grams per square metre (utilises a textile base of Polyamide of 1100 DTex)
1500 grams per square metre (utilises a textile base of Polyamide of 1670 DTex)

Hypalon is coated onto the outside of the fabric, providing UV, chemical and abrasion resistance, with a layer of Neoprene covering the inside, giving the fabric its air-tightness. The fabric is bonded together with Bostik NE486 two-part adhesive. The fabric is available in a wide selection of colours, examples of which can be seen below.

The finish of the Hypalon side is a smooth shiny finish. However we also supply fabric with a Matt fabric impression finish. This is available in limited weights and colours as follows:
1200 grams per square metre Black with Mat fabric impression finish
1200 grams per square metre Dark Grey with Mat fabric impression finish
1200 grams per square metre, Dark Blue with Mat fabric impression finish
1500 grams per square metre Orange with Mat fabric impression finish
1500 grams per square metre Dark Grey with Mat fabric impression finish

These five fabrics are normally specified on Military and Commercial boats
